He has received an eclectic variety of honors from all over the world.

Harlan was born in Newark, New Jersey. He still lives in New Jersey with his wife, Anne Armstrong-Coben MD, a pediatrician, and their four children.

A remarkable artist who transcends the boundaries between music genres, the Icelandic cellist, singer and composer Hildur Guõnadóttir has built herself a solid reputation within the contemporary music scene thanks to the virtuosity, originality and versatility of her work.

She currently enjoys international acclaim for her musical soundtracks of both films and TV series , notably for the score she created for the film sensation "Joker", winner of the Golden Lion at the Venice International Film Festival.

She also received an Emmy Award for the soundtrack of the HBO series "Chernobyl" and was named television composer of the year at the World Soundtrack Awards.

More recently, Hildur Guõnadóttir signed an exclusive contract with the Deutsche Grammophon label.
